Seeking Better Lake Management

In an effort to promote better management of the Tonle Sap and Songkhla lakes, representatives of the sister lakes met in Siem Reap on 13 February 2018 to finalize major reports documenting learning experiences and policy recommendations for addressing common issues of climate change, fisheries and women’s empowerment. The report will communicate best practices in managing lake resources to communities and form as a basis for the development of policy recommendations for the respective governments to build better lake governance. These bilateral efforts are part of the Tonle Sap and Songkhla lake basins communication project aimed at promoting healthy lake through community-based management.
